| Unity Day is here y’all! During this auspicious Bullying Prevention MONTH in the YEAR 2015… Let’s make every DAY of our lives "unified." Let’s do what we can to Be Kind and Unite in acceptance and inclusion. Not just today -- but every day. Our “homework” assignment: (Don’t run off, it’s easy, sweet, loving and involves cuddling!) |
Say it out loud if needed, “I choose to make people feel good today.”
Tell your kids to make that positive choice every day. When waking them up in the morning remind them to include other kids in conversation and play. They need to feel how good it feels to be kind. How righteous it is from the inside out to include someone who’s been left out. THAT’S the empowerment we need to express daily.
So often the pack mentality takes over and children feel empowered when they’re knocking someone down. Tell your kids that it’s a false boost. It’s not going to hold you up in the long run. It’s Just Not Right. Let’s all remember today’s lesson. This isn’t just about children and schools and bullying. We all sadly know that bullying can and does cross over into the workplace. Anyone who’s worked, well, anywhere, with other human beings can attest. |
Have a great Unity Day!
